Scotland Referendum: Ramifications for Kashmir!

Obtaining freedom and independence from big powers looks very difficult today as all big powers have joined hands to protect, even by terror wars,  their illegally taken colonialist and imperialist possessions.  

Scots have undertaken any armed struggle to obtain freedom from United Kingdom but used only peaceful and democratic means to achieve their objective but have failed.  Majority of Scots have voted in favor of the status quo of remaining as an important part of UK that enjoys the UNSC veto status.   

Though   failed, the Scots who struggle for independent nation should be happy that they are a part of big nation, a former colonial empire of the globe which once controlled the resources of almost entire world, including the now only super power of the world USA.

The Scots would continue to their efforts for an independent Scotland.  

The failure of the referendum for Scotland, however, has serious ramifications for all freedom seeking nations around the world.

Those Kashmiris in both Azad Kashmir and Jammu Kashmir who fight for freedom from Indian occupation in order for  reestablishing a free Jammu Kashmir or joining  a destabilized and weak Pakistan  have serious  message from the fate of Scotland referendum .  

Some Kashmiris and Pakistan who seek referendum to determine the status of Kashmiris (whether they should be part of India or Pakistan) as per the UN resolution should now comprehend their fate if a similar referendum is placed by Indian government for vote. Most Indians would vote against cessation and Pakistanization of Kashmiris. 

Also, most of Kashmiris, both Hindus and Muslims have been Indianized through constant regime deliberate manipulations and as such not many Kahsmiri Hindus would like an independent or Pakistanized Kashmir.   Even those who support Kashmiri freedom struggle won’t support if Kashmiris deceive them by choosing to join an aimless Pakistan.

The main problem for freedom seekers of Kashmir is the support extended to India by big powers like USA, UK and Russia. And India seeks even the Chinese support for its continued occupation because China is also occupying a part of Kashmir, gifted by Pakistan.

Considering emerging situation, Kashmiris should stop fighting for freedom, clamoring for Pakistan and wait for the appropriate moment only to demand an independent Kashmir.

Another, much better idea for Kashmir Muslims in Jammu Kashmir is to accept the being citizens of India as the reality and make life comfortable  by shedding  antagonism with a powerful military regime India which has already enlisted support of  all major powers of the world in keeping Kashmir as an integrated part of India. 

Kashmiri Muslims should understand that they are the victim of big power politics and rivalry. By supporting Pakistan which was  a part of Indo-Pak-Britain conspiracy, they also lose the support of Indian Muslims. 

There is no credible possibility for Kashmir Muslims to become Pakistanis to share shame and destabilized values . 

In order to save the remaining Kashmir Muslims they need to evolve a new  mode of thinking since neither Pakistan nor India  would ever allow both Azad Kashmir and Jammu Kashmir to come together to remake a nation because both use JK as a buffer zone to protect their respective  territories. 

As for choosing a country of residence, a strong  India is much better than a weak and sub-serving Pakistan of today.  Being blind to the emerging reality when India, Pakistan and China would  jointly operate in the region.
