The mischief called Kashmiri freedom struggle

At the outset it needs to be reiterated that unlike Palestinians, who seek sovereignty from fascist Israeli regime, Kashmiris do not fight for sovereignty and not many Kashmiri Muslims who have sacrificed their kith and kin for the so-called freedom , unfortunately, have got no idea about what exactly Kashmiris fight for.

Innocent Muslims in Jammu Kashmir keep getting killed by Indian forces to teach “lessons” to Pakistan while entire world is not aware of or not bothered about the tragedy striking in Kashmir valley which is now a valley of silence due to its secret Muslim grave yards. .

The peculiar situation has arisen in JK where all stake holders, India, Pakistan and indirectly China are engaged in killing of Muslims in JK. Kashmiri Muslims themselves do not know what they should do or should not.

That India as well as Pakistan uses Kashmiris in Jammu Kashmir as a manipulatable cricket ball to get big international scores on media by adopting immoral and illegal means only reveals the useless of the Kashmir issue because nothing is going to come out of all this- but only more Kashmiri Muslims would be murdered in and around Srinagar by Indian forces playing a sort of joint military games with Pakistani counter parts. .

That is indeed the crux of issue causing problems for Kashmiris and which Pakistan, India and China exploit to their own advantages.

Tensions between India and China flare on occasion, especially along India’s far north-eastern border, along the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Most contentious of all, however, are the borders in Kashmir, where Pakistan, India and China all have competing claims. The rulers of Kashmir were told to choose which country to join. The mindset of Kashmiri Muslims was conditioned to take the foreign occupation first by India and Pakistan and then China too, as the permanent reality and work for only their favorite nation- India or Pakistan. This anomaly, rather tragedy continues today as Kashmiri Muslims have totally forgotten that about an independent Kashmir but just promote the selfish interests of India and Pakistan as well as China.

As such there is no real movement in Jammu Kashmir or Azad Kashmir for freedom and sovereignty from India, Pakistan and China. While the so-called separatists do not demand sovereignty for Kashmirs, the pro-India politicians in JK have no case against Indian occupation and they don’t demand sovereignty; all they seek is freedom for crony governance, wealth making and special privileges form India. Kashmiri politicians have readily helped India in executing one major Hindutva demand of making a Hindu deputy chief minister – a special privilege which is not practiced elsewhere in India, including in Kerala where Muslims constitute one third of population and the Muslim MLAs make the second largest group in the UDF government today. Central government refused permission for the UDF to make a Muslim Deputy CM.

Indo-Pak and fate of Kashmiri Muslims

India and Pakistan have been playing with the lives of Kashmiri Muslims. While Kashmiris have been cheated by India, they have been betrayed by Pakistan, China, and freedom groups or the so-called separatists. And the Kashmiris cheated and betrayed by all concerned and unconcerned have lost their identity way back and now are one of most persecuted people on earth.

India claims it seeks peace in Kashmir on its own terms and aims at cooperation of Kashmiris to work together for the benefits of the nation and Kashmir, whereas Pakistan and J.K. separatists do not seek peace or prosperity of Kashmir valley which is not the abode of secret grave yards, obviously of Kashmiri Muslims who had “disappeared” from homes. .
India deliberately hides the truth about the past of Jammu Kashmir, by spreading the falsehood that Kashmir has always been a part of India. Pakistan which had been a part of India until 1947 also claims Kashmir to be part of Islamabad. Great Britain gave freedom for both India and Pakistan but they quickly hatched conspiracy to invade, divide and occupy Jammu Kashmir, making Kashmiris sub serve their own interests.
Today Kashmiris in Indian JK and Pakistani Azad Kashmir project themselves not as a Kashmiri nation divided and seeking sovereignty back but as Indians or Pakistanis.
Huge numbers of Indian and Pakistani soldiers remain in Kashmir today as both countries profess to be the rightful authority for the rest of Kashmir. Complicating matters, China has also extended its influence, and control, over portions of Kashmir, largely with the support of Pakistan, an ally.
Kashmiris have the crude fate of depending on either India or Pakistan on permanent basis. And, alas, they seem to have accepted that as their destiny. When the colonial power, Britain, withdrew from India it left a dangerous legacy of carelessly or arbitrarily drawn borders. Indian army with arms and ammunitions left behind by British government stopped the Pakistani “invaders” taking Srinagar, Kashmir’s capital, located in the Kashmir valley, the most coveted part of the territory. The resulting line of control, by and large, remains the de-facto international frontier within Kashmir and, in effect, is accepted by Pakistan and India.

Indo-Pak conspiracy

Clearly, it was a Indo-Pakistani conspiracy, supported by Britain and other major powers, executed by the Indo-Pak militaries. After that India let Pakistan take away some more Kashmiri lands in a brief war that terrorized Kashmiris, both Muslims and others. However, Pakistanis not satisfied with what it considers a small gesture from India and seeks more lands to be added to Azad Kashmir in its possession. Islamabad is misusing the unfortunate Muslims in Jammu Kashmir to revolt against Indian occupation and for making JK a part of Pakistani empire. Some Kashmiri separatists seek “freedom” of Kashmir valley from India in order to go to a destabilized Pakistan.

It is strange both India and Pakistan fight for Kashmir which had never been a part of either of them. . Interestingly, Indo-Pakistani dispute should have evolved around Indian states but they are fighting for a sandwiched Jammu Kashmir. It makes good sense if Pakistan quarreled with India or waged wars with it for more lands and resources from India from which it ceded in 1947 by British mediation. However, these South Asian nations now fight for “full Kashmir” by occupying it parts duly shared by veto power China, now the closest military ally of Pakistan with its own “Muslim problem” and from which Islamabad gets economic and terror assistance.

What is amazing, rather amusing is the crude fact that India and Pakistan could get Kashmiri Muslims to dance their band music. China indirectly supports occupation of Jammu Kashmir by India-Pak-China trio and hence makes no comments on the genocide of Kashmiri Muslims by Indian forces.
It is indeed also funny to watch how the Kashmiri Muslims, who have lost sovereignty to them but just pretend not aware of that, promote the interests of these 3 great occupiers by supporting them in a preferential manner.
This very similar to that of Indian Muslims who are not bothered so much about the ill-treatment of Indian central and state governments that kept Muslims away from mainstream. They are fighting for the political parties that plan for Hindus and Hinduism.
All these years the ruling parties in India controlled Jammu Kashmir have very tactfully used the freedom groups like Hurriyat Conference for their own advantages to make wealth with help from New Delhi bosses and to some extent from Pakistan while Pakistan uses Hurriyat Conference in dealing with nuclear adversary and stronger India.
Going by the petrified mindset of India in avenging defeats even in sports and cricket, by hook or crook, Indian focus on a Hindu chief minister for Jammu Kashmir, one can assured of India could taste its success in making Hindu the CM of JK with help from Kashmiri leaders.

One needs not go anywhere else: just consider how India achieved their conspiratorial goal planned in 1947 of dismantling the Babri Mosque by 1992 when a weak PM assumed power in New Delhi.  Now Judiciary is being under severe pressures to deliver a Hindutva judgment in favor of the Hindu criminals. You think India now cannot impose a Hindu CM on Kashmir democratically?

Now that all regional powers have accepted India as the super power of South Asia, new Delhi can easily advance its Hindu interests more forcefully with a Hindutva party at the helm of affairs

Politics around Article 370

Reports say India got Jammu Kashmir on a conditional agreement with the then rulers of JK the right to rule over JK. Indian military forces, ready for invasion and occupation of Jammu Kashmir, got the deal struck with the JK rulers before the Indian forces swiftly moved in to Jammu and Srinagar even as Pakistan had already invaded some northern parts of Kashmir and occupied then to “save the Kashmiris” .

Pro-India political parties have accepted Indian rule in JK mainly because of the strength of Article 370 providing special privileges to JK but the Hindutva BJP which now rules India is keen to do away with that special provision the constitution. This is one of major propaganda themes the Hindutva parties employed in the polls to win as many Hindu votes as possible.

India continues to use the article to force Kashmiris forget about sovereignty. Hindutva parties like BJP always wanted to repeal the article and stop all special privileges to the state. Outgoing Jammu Kashmir state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who does not oppose Indian occupation or extra military laws in the state said that Jammu Kashmir had only conditionally acceded to India based on “constitutionally validated conditions” that had been “violated by erosion to Article 370”.votes. Omar said: Those desirous of a debate on Article 370 should read history. Jammu and Kashmir had acceded to India based on conditions put in place by Sheikh Abdullah,” said Omar who is also the working president of the National Conference (NC) while addressing an election rally in the Budgam constituency of central Kashmir. Omar said his party would never give up its demand for reversal of erosion in Article 370. He said the NC would continue to strive for restoration of autonomy.“ The NC, he added, will never alter its vision for political expediency. “Let me make it clear that Article 370 is not negotiable,” he said. He alleged that Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had played a major role in the erosion of Article 370. “I want to ask him why he was a player in erosion of Article 370,” Omar said. He repeated his accusation that Mufti had turned his “healing touch” into a “killing touch”.

India knows too well that Omar’s is just a political gimmick meant for Muslim votes. But quickly Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on the JK Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for questioning JK’s accession with India. BJP spokesman Khaild Jehangir said Omar is raising non-issues to divert the attention of the people as he failed to deliver as the Chief Minister of the state. Discussing political contours of Jammu and Kashmir doesn’t fall in Omar’s domain. By giving such statements he is crossing the line, Omar has got no right to interfere in the foreign policy of India and issues related to the sovereignty of the country. Omar has sensed defeat in the poll and is questioning JK’s accession with India to appease secessionist elements,” he added. The BJP spokesman took a dig at Omar for raising the issue of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) again and again. During his tenure as the Chief Minister he failed miserably to curb the corruption and get rid of such elements who made the entire system defunct. He has concentrated on the matters which don’t fall within his domain. Had he concentrated on issues related to governance and the masses NC today would not have been at the brink of extinction,” Jehangir said.

India uses Muslims against Muslims even in Kashmir.  

Clearly, India is at work to coerce Kashmiris to accept JK being an integral part of India and the article 370, being used as an important tool to silence the Kashmiri rulers could be played out to achieve its goal easily. The article also could be used as effective weapons for getting a Hindu either as a CM or deputy CM.

Kashmiri leaders are great actors and they know how play games with India and Pakistan as well as ill-fated Kashmiri Muslims. . .

A Word of Caution

True, Kashmir remains an explosive issue and reasons that are known to all. But even if India decides to give away its part of Jammu Kashmir the problem won’t be resolved. In order, therefore, to find a durable and credible solution, Pakistan, India and China should jointly decide to vacate Jammu Kashmir so that Kashmiris live in peace and verifiable peace maybe ensured in the region.   

Neither India nor Pakistan nor Kashmiris are serious about a credible resolution of the problem. The statements of rich Kashmiri leaders in JK are just pure gimmicks to get more say and resources from New Delhi. By supporting Pakistan some Muslims get money from Islamabad which is, like Washington, increasingly blood thirsty, too.
