CEC OF PPP REPOSES COMPLETE CONFIDENCE IN

CO-CHAIRMAN ASIF ALI ZARDARI

 

Islamabad February 26, 2009: The Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party Thursday night adopted a unanimous resolution expressing full confidence in the leadership of Co-Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari.  It also vowed to continue its political struggle for the emancipation of the people with renewed vigour and determination under the leadership of the Co"‘Chairman.

 

The unanimous resolution was adopted in the CEC meeting held in the Presidency today that was jointly presided over by the Party Co-Chairman and President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani. The meeting discussed the current political situation in the country particularly with reference to the situation arising out of the imposition of Governor Rule in Punjab ..

 

The meeting was also attended by those Federal Ministers who are members of the Central Executive Committee. A detailed review of the situation was carried out in which several members expressed their point of view.

 

Tomorrow Friday the President will meet the PPP MNAs and MPAs from Punjab for similar consultative dialogue.
