WHY DON’T WE WAKE UP

This article is directed to all those Pakistanis, particularly the younger generation, who claim to be patriots concerned about their future, careers and prosperity and who want to save Pakistan and see it as sovereign and independent state and take it to a higher level of a dignified state. The alarm bells have been ringing aloud; time is indeed running out as the pace with which the events are unfolding is unprecedented in history of the state.

The writing is on the wall and if we fail to understand it even now then indeed we have asked for it as the saying goes “what thou shall sow thou shall reap”.

We are the masters of our own destiny yet the present state of slumber and particularly an attitude that since it is not in my backyard I can’t be asked, would leave us in a state of despondency and despair for times to come. What we as a nation are witnessing is a sharp decline, erosion of our sovereignty, freedom and values and destruction of the fabrics of our state of Pakistan which would eventually lead into a total collapse of the state of Pakistan.

It is not the author’s intention to put before you another piece of a critical writing expounding upon the current state of affairs of Pakistan under any specific head of political science as it is, becoming too late now, to embark upon such an attempt. To the author’s mind the one and only word that keeps on reverberating is that there is literally a crisis like situation everywhere in each and every sphere of the state of Pakistan be it politics, economy and commerce, society, judiciary, sovereignty and integrity of the state, policing, military etc..

Any attempt to restrict the analysis is neither intended nor would make any difference as a lot has already been written. It has now become too obvious that even a teenager could understand and or at least start connecting the dotted lines that the ship is sinking while the sailors are hiding under the deck waiting for the storm to subside. It has become quite common that western media leaves no opportunity un-availed in declaring Pakistan a failed state.

Various articles are being written almost on daily basis about the state of affairs of Pakistan. However, breaking all previous records, recently an independent Australian MP Bob Katter had the audacity to state before the Parliament that the US will invade Pakistan to deal with instability and Australia must send troops there, too. When will we wake up?

On the other hand the Pakistanis are too engrossed in their ways of lives. The elite which is corrupt to the core is busy multiplying the wealth, devising schemes to hide their corruptions keeping our courts busy, living a life of luxury and entertainment every day at the expense of poor. The middle class is quickly evaporating under the burden of taxation, unemployment rising food and transport prices. Shortage of electricity gas and fuel is making it extremely difficult for manufacturing and agricultural industries to survive with the costs of doing business and farming soaring to unprecedented levels.

The already oppressed class of poor is further being pushed to new lows of extreme poverty and destitution; breaking all previous records and statistical numbers. The massive displacement, after the recent floods have rendered the majority homeless without any food and shelter; who are now all out there to face the winters relying of their animal survival instincts.

The prolonged and on going war on terror is another dilemma confronting the nation killing our very own people whilst the west is not happy and wants us to do more. Do we want this war to go on after reaping the ill conceived petty benefits since 9/11? When will we wake up and rise to the occasion and start saying NO? The military is helpless under news demands to launch an offensive in North Waziristan in the name of terrorism killing our very own people. It seems that there is no end to this war. Do we still want to carry on with it?

According to our law, should not any decision to launch an operation be debated in the Parliament? But what good will that serve when the very occupants there are busy doing party politics, protecting their credibility when the same has been exposed by fake degrees and hiding their assets and corruption. In any case we have dispensed with the need; we have too many cooks who are busy spoiling the broth according to their flavor and appetite. Our media is preoccupied in unearthing and debating the corruptions of the elite, holding non stop talk shows rubbing dust in each others faces with “he said this… oh no… he said that” , whilst, our judiciary is trying hard to stay intact as a pillar of the state and claiming that it is reasserting the old age adage of Dicey’s Rule of Law principle and burial of the doctrine of necessity. However on that score too, is it not a contradiction that the same court itself excavated the grave in its very own and same decision and reinvented the doctrine of necessity after declaring the same has been buried for ever.

The very decision declared ex chief justice’s appointment void ultra vires the constitution but the oath of the president administered by the same as valid in the name of not derailing the system. Is that the job of the court? Is it not to uphold the Rule of Law? What does the law say? What does the constitution say? Is that not a reinvention of doctrine of necessity or the case is we would never know what exactly is it. On another issue of judicial appointment where apparently the petitioners involved sought declaration from the court that the clause be declared as ultravires the constitution against the basic structure of constitution protecting the independence of judiciary.

However, our court once again rising to the occasion, referred the matter back to the Parliament… Hang on… but what about the Rule of Law and the principle what do you say on that. What does the law and constitution say? However again, the answer by the court was through application of discretion rather the principle of law. What then is doctrine of necessity we fail to understand.

Also, about throwing the issuing of judicial appointment, when a direct attack was made at the independence of judiciary, back at the Parliament comprising, feudals, fake degree holders and thugs who did not have the courtesy nor responsibility to debate upon the issue taking into account the views of various stakeholders in the first place, for review; what object is intended by such a referral the general public remains oblivious. The very law minister who is going to be part of the judicial commission has allegation of corruptions to answer someday but that is not important let him appoint few judges first. However, these issues are not on our list of priorities.

The debate on NAB ordinance is more important. Schemes of corruption and rulings of court, thereon, are more important while the ship keeps on sinking with our youth remaining perplexed about their security and safety in this strange country of Pakistan let alone their careers and prosperity. Needless to state his physical well being, particularly, keeping in mind the fact that there is an out break of dengue virus. Could you tell anyone without embarrassment and without making a mockery of yourselves that our state machinery after 63 years of independence has failed to provide us with the basics i.e. uninterrupted supply of electricity and clean drinking water.

The schools, decent education, medical facilities, etc . list goes on but loses relevance when basics needs are not met. But no our government and the opposition parties, with their feudal background and fake degrees are too busy debating the NAB ordinance, forging new alliances devising new schemes to prolong their tenures and how to get reelected, impose further taxes at the dictates of IMF saying don’t you dare do business in Pakistan. I think its time our youth wakes up and voices his/her thoughts through whatever channel possible to put a stop to this miserable state of affairs. The time has come when one has to at least raise his voice and show solidarity against the way the prevailing state of affairs are in Pakistan.

Now everyone can see
You must be crazy to think anybody would believe Al Qaeda does not exist just because of that video that provided no documentary evidence or proof. You threw out tons of evidence that exists proving Al Qaeda existence on just a short video clip denying existence of ...
Statements of Osama,
Al Qaeda Website on NET,
Al Qaeda published Documents found on Al Qaeda Terrorists under arrest etc and news coming out almost every week like below.
Read it and then send someone to ask the Al Qaeda Agents in Jail, it exists or not.

Sweden: Two 'jihadists' charged over plot
.
Gothenburg, 15 Oct. (AKI) -
.
Two Al-Qaeda-linked Swedish jihadists of Somali origins were charged with plotting a terrorist attack on Friday, Swedish prosecutors said. The two suspects were charged at a court in Swedens' southern city of Gothenburg. The suspects, aged 22 and 26 are allegedly associates of the Al-Qaeda linked Somali Islamist group Al-Shabab.
The group is waging an insurgency against the interim government in Somalia and controls controls most of southern and central Somalia. The plot involved suicide attacks in Somalia, with the aim of "murder" or "maiming" a large number of people and causing "massive damage to property," the charge sheet said. Prosecutors said the plot was at an early stage but there was a "significant danger" the attacks would be carried out.
The two suspects were in contact with Al-Shabab leader Yassin Ismail Ahmed, according to prosecutors. Prosecutors are basing their case on numerous intercepted phone conversations, interrogations of the two suspects, and statements from witnesses. The phone taps also showed that one of the suspects attended an Al-Shabab training camp in Somalia and planned to return there and " become a martyr". The second suspect was preparing for a future suicide mission, according to prosecutors.
One suspect was arrested in Gothenburg in May and the other in the Swedish capital Stockholm in June.

Al Qaeda does not exist?
I wonder, how much ISI paid to get those people to shoot the Documentary that you have attached here that BBC bought and broadcasted ...!
Anybody can make such documentary. It has been criticized in the West by ordinary people and even Afghans, Saudis and Pakistanis for its lies.
FACTS:
* During JehaaD against Afghan Communists Osama had started Al Qaeda and he himself said that. (Ref: Osama Interview published in Pakistan and Moslim Countries) * Al Qaeda had moved to Sudan because Osama had thought Pakistan would not permit his Terrorist Activities against Saudi Arabia.
* His original goal was to dethrone Saudi Royal Family because it was friendly to USA.
* According to Saudi Arabia, Al Qaeda had caused attacks on Americans and he had moved to Sudan because he was Wanted in Suadi Arabia.
* Osama himself admitted Al Qaeda had caused attacks on USA Embassies in African countries. (Ref; His Tape on Al Jazirah)
... Its going to be a very long post if I mentioned everything so, now lets go to Taliban part.
* According to Pakistan, Mollaa Omar had refused to hand over Osama to Pakistan so he could stand trial in a 3rd Moslim Country.
* According to Mollaa Omar, when Pak Army Generals had kept pushing me too much to let Osama go, I had said, "If you are so scared of USA and your backs are so weak, take a few of my MojaahiDeen with you so they can hold your Backs ...!" They left after I had insulted them like that.

So there goes this new lie that Mollaa Omar was ready to hand over Osama. I don't know, who are you trying to fool by your these lies.

America started war against Afghanistan because Talibaan denied handing over Osama to America (as per America they dined although as per all classified information now available Talibaan got agreed to handed over him to third country).

America was wrong about Alqaeeda similar the way they were wrong about WMD in Iraq, if i am not offending you then please watch this video also.

So, i have two simple questions to you

1-This war wasn't against Talibaan at all then why the hell, Talibaan became so notorious in the end.

2-This topic is for Pakistani people not for Talibaan then why the heck you are talking against Talibaan instead of sleeping Pakistani nation

You are lying again because there was no Vote on Iraq War in UN General Assembly or Security Council. Moron Bush had gotten approval only from US Congress and Senate by lying to them.
I was against that war. He had no right to do that. He should be put to trial for that but majority of Iraqis were happy that he did because it was tired of Brutal Tyrannical Rule of Soonni Arabs, who were 12% of Iraqi Population and who had killed a couple of million of them. 88% of Iraqi Population is still thankful to USA for that invasion. Arab Shiyah 66%, Soonni Kurds, Turkmen and other minorities 22%.
* Has USA stolen anything from Iraq?
* Has Iraq selling Oil to USA?
No. Iraq is selling 3/4th of her Oil to China and India like before and 1/4th to Turkey, Israel and Europeans like it used to before.
* Is Iraq under US Occupation?
No. Iraqi Government runs Iraq just like Afghan Government runs Afghanistan.

You are a Taliban pretending to be a peaceful person
KHAN wrote:
"I think our lives would be much simpler, if, the international community defines what is "taliban"..., "terrorism"... "extremism" and so on"
TURKMAN:
* But International Community had defined, what is Terrorism in UN General Assembly in 2001, when it permitted USA to attack Taliban in Afghanistan. Were you asleep for last 9 years? How come you don't know, Soldiers of 56 countries are in Afghanistan including from 6 Moslim Countries and our former East Pakistani brothers are now also coming? All 190 countries could not send their Soldiers because a lot of them are too small and some of them do not even have an Army. ...
* Its surprising to learn only you are a Pakistani, who does not know meaning of word 'Taliban'. If you do not even know this, you should not be giving Pakistanis any advice. ...
* Its also surprising that you do not know meaning of 'Extremism' and 'Terorism' while you live in Pakistan, where Mosques are bombed on regular basis and about 10,000 Pakistanis die because of Terrorism of Taliban and other Religious Groups. Who the hell are you trying to fool here?
KHAN wrote:
"So we as Pakistanis are clear that these individuals can be killed at will anytime without resorting to courts and these concepts are draconian"

Pak Constitution permits Civilians, Army and all Law Enforcement Agencies to attack back to defend ourselves if anybody tries to kill us. There is nothing Draconian about it because this law is same in all countries of the world. Why you do not want Taliban or other Extremists to be attacked back if you are not one of them yourself and are coming up with this argument pretending to be one of us? Have not been thousands of your Terrorists have been released by courts because of orders from ISI? I guess, you do not want them to be even arrested because you do not think, they are committing any crime by killing us since you want them to take over Pakistan. KHAN wrote:
"Perhaps then our lives would be at ease and we would be able to differentiate between them, distance ourselves with and live peacefully in harmony like other peaceful countries"
TURKMAN:
A good spin to pretend that you are not one of them because you know, Pak Constitution does not permit us to shoot Terrorist at sight, when we do not know, if they are Terrorists or not, when they are not committing any act of violence. ... We have this situation only because in violation of Pak Constitution Clause 256, not only ISI created Non Government Militias but also keeps financing, training and arming them to cause all this havoc of Terrorism in Pakistan and Afghanistan and in the rest of the world.
KHAN wrote:
"All we wish to do and see is that peace exists in Pakistan with an increase in economic growth etc"
TURKMAN:
We know, peace was the slogan that you guys had boasted after you had conquered Afghanistan but you had achieved that peace by killing half a million Afghans and since Pakistan's population is 7 times that of Afghanistan, you would be killing 6 times more Pakistanis than you had killed there. Let me inform you, Pakistanis do not want 3.5 million of them killed by you people and your Talibani-Wahabi Shriyah Law. In Afghanistan, you had proven to have no knowledge of Economics or Governance and Afghans were starving to death. Millions would have died if USA and the rich countries of the world were not sending $ 200 worth of Food Charity to Afghanistan every year during you rule of Afghanistan.

Your point has been noted. "Not all terrorists can be prosecuted". But then perhaps a distinction should be made who are the ones who could be and should be tried and under what law domestic or international.

My knowledge perhaps is not adequate. Could you explain why the attacker in mumbai incident being tried in indian court or of the new york incident, in USA or A siddique ... if the only verdict is they are "guilty as sin" lets do away with them. Lets dispense with the law and or the legal systems of the world all together completely because as you have rightly labelled we all our talibans living on US aid and one should not be back stabbing.I dont know what relevance that has with the present article. Are only Taliban Humans not Americans?
KHAN wrote: "Why has the west established the international courts of justice promoting human rights and prosecuting international criminals when the people are going to be bombed by drones anyway with no opportunity to be heard whether they are infact all of them criminals or not".
TURKMAN:
You must be kidding. Is that court for prosecuting every Terrorist in the world? Would Pakistan arrest all the Taliban so, they can be persecuted there? Why do you think US Army has no right to go after, the Sneak Attack Terrorist that are killing its Soldiers because those Terrorists are Humans? Do you want our Police not to attack back, who attacks it and file a case against him in International Court because that Terrorist is Human? I think, you are really confused about the concept of International Court or just want to legalize cross border terrorism.
KHAN wrote: "But when I get to hear about west bombing these people without any charge, intelligence, evidence, without a chance to have fair trial. I feel that they may be terrorists but after all humans"
TURKMAN:
So, its okay that our land can be used by our Terrorist Mercenaries hired by our Army to kill Soldiers of countries, on who's Charity of Aid since 1953 and Loans since 1955, we have been living off. They should not be attacked back, roll over and die. Why do you think they do not have any right to attack them back in Pakistan, when they run back and when 600,000 strong Pak Army keeps pretending that it can not control just a few thousand of them there in Tribal Areas? (If you want to know, Pak Army had only 16 Tanks before USA had started giving Military Charity to Pakistan)
* Is this why we have been spending half to 3/4th of our Budget every year for decades on Army that it can not control even certain parts of Pakistan despite receiving 2,400 Tanks, 400 Jet Fighters, Helicopter Gunships and a lot of other stuff in Charity from USA since 1950's and $ 10 billion worth of Weapons since 2003?
* Why would US Army be attacking them if Pak Army was doing its job instead of back-stabbing USA through Taliban?
* How would they enter Afghanistan if Pak Army was not letting them?
* Please tell me, out of which of the 191 other countries of the world, Terrorists can leave from one country and enter a Neighboring country carrying Mortors, Rockets, Hand Grenades and Machine Guns day and night at will for so many years besides, Pakistan?
* Do you live in this world or have just arrived from another Planet?

WHY DONT WE WAKE UP (A REPLY TO TURKMAN)

This is in response to your comments TURKMAN. First all the idea of posting the article is not to have a rule by Talibans of Afghanistan but to strive for a peacful state where our rights and values are protected by the state. Throughout the article, I have on no occassion advocated for a rule by Talibans. All I have  attempted is to only highlight the contradictions. The factual state of affairs as are in Pakistan demand attention, as I am worried about all of us, my family and children.

Is it not the case that the situation at hand is worsening with each passing day. If we as Pakistani cant be ensured our safety and security under the present regime... If we cant find jobs... If our businesses and industries are closing down... where should we go to.

The US has been so considerate all along in giving out military aid and charity. But then again have we spent it correctly promoting domestic growth. There is no transparency in spending. Is it not the case that food prices are soaring to new levels whilst the government and courts are busy disputing money laudering cases. Also, as far as the issue about people who are being bombed is concerned, I agree they may be terrorist. But who has declared them so... Why has the west established the international courts of justice promoting human rights and prosecuting international criminals when the people are going to be bombed by drones anyway with no opportunity to be heard whether they are infact all of them criminals or not.

I wish to talk about these disparities and contributions. I am not promoting a rule by Taliban who are extremists. But when I get to hear about west bombing these people without any charge, intelligence, evidence, without a chance to have fair trial. I feel that they may be terrorists but after all humans.

They deserve a chance to be tried atleast and then pronounced guilty and subjected to any punishment. You tell me is this not extremism to kill by bombing "suspects" who after all are humans too. Where is the "Justice".

Why don't we fight for Taliban Rule in Pakistan?
I'm quoting some sentences of this writer and adding my comments below.
.---------
KHAN wrote: "... save Pakistan and see it as sovereign and independent state and take it to a higher level of a dignified state ..."
TURKMAN:
Save from who? I had no idea Pakistan was not a Sovereign and independent state. What is higher level of 'dignified' state? Declaring war against USA?
KHAN wrote: "We are the masters of our own destiny ...
TURKMAN:
... if we could get a Visa to any Western country"
KHAN wrote: "What we as a nation are witnessing is a sharp decline, erosion of our sovereignty, freedom and values and destruction of the fabrics of our state of Pakistan which would eventually lead into a total collapse of the state of Pakistan"
TURKMAN:
True. We should stand up against Pak Army and stop it from backstabbing USA so USA does not attack and stop it from getting us killed through its Mercenaries, Taliban to get more Charity of US Weapons Aid. KHAN wrote: "It has become quite common that western media leaves no opportunity un-availed in declaring Pakistan a failed state"
TURKMAN:
That's no right. Western Media should not keep doing this and the West should stop giving Charity of Aid and Loans so, Pakistan can collapse peacefully to her death. Why is the West keeping this sick nation alive since 1950's with its Charity and making Pakistan become more and more undignified by letting her beg for more charity?
KHAN wrote: " ... an independent Australian MP Bob Katter had the audacity to state before the Parliament that the US will invade Pakistan to deal with instability and Australia must send troops there, too"
TURKMAN:
What should USA do, when our thankless Army that used to have just 16 Tanks was built by USA including her Basis, Runways, Air Force Basis, underground Hangers with giants Lifts etc for free by USA in 1950's and 60's keeps back-stabbing USA?
KHAN wrote: "The prolonged and on going war on terror is another dilemma confronting the nation killing our very own people whilst the west is not happy and wants us to do more"
TURKMAN:
Sneak Terrorism of our Taliban is a war? What kind of war they are fighting that they kill 20 Afghans and Pakistanis for every Foreign Troop they kill in Afghanistan? Why are you calling them 'our own people'? Are our own people supposed to kill us? Oh, I forgot, they are your people.
KHAN wrote: "Do we want this war to go on after reaping the ill conceived petty benefits since 9/11?"
TURKMAN:
We doubled our GDP, Per Capita Income and Export in just 5 years after just saying that we are no more with Taliban to save the stinky Ass of our Army, who had not only created them but also accompanied them. If all that is petty and ill conceived for you, tell us what was better than that ...!
KHAN wrote: "The military is helpless under new demands to launch an offensive in North Waziristan in the name of terrorism killing our very own people"
TURKMAN:
If this is a new demand, what was the old one in 2004? Has Military started attacking your brother Taliban so far? Is not Military killing only your Enemies in Waziristan just like before for the last 9 years?
KHAN wrote:
"According to our law, should not any decision to launch an operation be debated in the Parliament?"
TURKMAN:
What about a Debate on existence of you people, the Taliban and JehaaDi Groups that have been created against Clause 256 of Pak Constitution instead? How about asking Army, why have we been feeding it half to 3/4th of our Budget every year to it for decades, when its not even capable of creating Pak Sovereignty over Tribal Areas even after 63 years? . You have quoted a lot of what is wrong with Pakistan but whatever is wrong with Pakistan its still far cry from your own Talibani Rule of Afghanistan so, stop fooling our youth and go blow yourself in Afghanistan because Pakistanis are not ready to fight for your Savage rule in Pakistan.
