MOST SHOCKING, IF TRUE....
 
Last night , I listened to a recorded tape of a Pakistani journalist Taiba Zia located in USA on one of the private TV channels. It was about the recent visit of President Zardari and his entourage to USA , their official and private engagements. She narrated the horrific sequence of events of their stay in America . Besides 5 days official visit, she revealed how they spent the government exchequer lavishly on their private affairs, how the President disappeared for 3 days ,how his ministers especially Mr Kaira enjoyed night clubs, how 3 girls were allowed to visit hotel where Zardari was staying where no one was allowed to go but they had special permission, how a dinner was arranged for about 2000 Pakistanis( Jialas ) at state expence in Washington and then another in NewYork. This all was happening when Pakistan was in deep crisis fighting militants in Swat, Buner and Dir and exodus of millions of IDPs was a great problem for the country. Now who should take suo moto notice of this as Constitution provides immunity to the Head of the State. If all the narration by Ms Taiba Zia is true, it is most shameful and shocking for the general public who are collecting donations for the displaced persons of Swat and making frantic appeals at all forums . One can rightly say " Nero was playing his flute while the Rome was burning". Here our President was enjoying life in Dubai , USA , London and France along with his team while his country was burning.
As we constitute Enquiry Commissions for every major event bringing bad name to the country, I urge the government to form a neutral Enquiry Committee to find out how our President and his grand entourage conducted themselves while in USA and why his 5 days tour was pakistan was expended during the entire tour. The members of the committee should be men of character and their credentials should be above board. We have spent millions in enquiring the Cotecna and other cases against Mr Zardari without any out come. Lets spend a few thousands more to find out about the details of his recent trip to all the countries now as President of Pakistan.
