I wish i could go there and stand with these girls, they are showing that we have some one in Pakistan who loves Islam. I pray to Allah that this Madras-e-hafsa remains intact because these activities will put this on top of the Anti-Islamic list.

Dozens of young women from a religious school in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, have broken into an alleged brothel and kidnapped the owner.

The women, from the nearby Jamia Hafsa madrassa, burst in late on Tuesday, demanding the premises be shut down.

The women say they have a right to end immoral activity under Islamic law.

The BBC's Navdip Dhariwal in Islamabad says it is the first time such bold Taleban-style activity seen elsewhere in Pakistan has occurred in the city.

The Jamia Hafsa school has been at the centre of controversy in recent months.

In January, armed students prevented the authorities from demolishing an illegally constructed mosque and occupied a nearby children's library.

They have also demanded that local video owners close their stores.

'Not mistreated'

The women who led Tuesday night's raid near the city centre included teachers and students. They were later joined by male colleagues from the men's section of the madrassa.

They [police] have arrested our respected, veiled teachers for a corrupt woman
Abdul Rashid Ghazi,
Jamia Hafsa vice-principal

When the alleged brothel's owner refused to shut the building, the raiding party forcibly shut it themselves and took the woman, her daughter and daughter-in-law back to the madrassa where they are still being held.

Initially the police were reluctant to step in to rescue the woman, but later registered a case and arrested two female teachers of the school.

But students then kidnapped two policemen from a nearby patrol. They too are being held in the madrassa and were allowed to speak to reporters.

"They have not mistreated us, they have served us tea and allowed us to keep our mobile phones," one of them, constable Hamad Raza said, the AFP news agency reports.

"We are told that negotiations are under way and we hope the matter will be over soon," he said.

School officials also say that two other teachers have been missing since early on Wednesday morning and that they believe they were kidnapped by intelligence agencies.

Their whereabouts is unclear.

School raided

The Jamia Hafsa has long been a problem for the capital city administration and Pakistan's Pesident General Musharraf

It has often criticised his policies in the "war on terror" and called for Islamic law to be enforced in Pakistan.

The madrassa was among schools raided after the London bombings of July 2005 over alleged links with the bombers.

Madrassa officials deny any such links.

Our correspondent says it appears the administration is reluctant or helpless to take action against the school's teachers and students.

The incident comes amid concerns over the increasing "Talebanisation" of parts of Pakistan.

In Pakistan's tribal areas and in North West Frontier Province (NWFP), religious groups have sought to impose strict Islamic law on local people.

Across the tribal areas and in parts of NWFP, video and CD shops have been attacked and closed, barbers are banned from shaving beards and non-religious music and singing is prohibited.

So it should be clear that we are not afraid or scared of all false gods and we will not obey their writ if they contradict with Allah's writ. It should be clear to all.

With Allah's Name, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

Whose Writ should be established? ??????  Of course Whose Who has

  • Created us from clay and water
  • Created all our electron, protons, neutrons, cells and tissues
  • Been providing us air, water and all  food
  • Been maintaining all our systems and our health
  • Been providing all support and requirements for all our lives including social, spiritual, material, psychological, family, environment, knowledge, ability to retain & reproduce knowledge and subjected all angels and resources to us
  • the final destination for all of us
  • paradise for those Who obeyed Him and hell for those who didn't
So it should be clear that we are not afraid or scared of all false gods  and we  will  not  obey  their  writ  if they contradict with Allah's writ. It should be clear to all.

Musharraf is a Zionist  puppet. He is loading all sorts of loans on  this poor nation. He is taking dictations from the worst enemies of Allah. SO we reject him completely and totally. He has violated Islam, Constitution of Pakistan, Military rules, what right he has to establish "Government' s writ". Which Government he is talking about? Where that Government is? We do not see any Government other than Allah's.

Brothel houses are not permitted in Allah's law and Allah's Government so the girls of Hafsa Madrassah established the writ of Allah. While Musharraf a son of public dancers is trying to make entire Pakistan a brothel house.

We all must resist his Satanic schemes and plans and fail them  We shall Insha Allah do that. Satan is an open enemy of Human being and humanity so by rejecting Pervaiz Musharraf's plans we will serve humanity. We will save Pakistan from:

  • Social break down
  • Family Break down
  • Economic break down
  • Destruction in all fields
  • AIDS and many other psychological and other diseases
  • Destruction of its generations
  • Becoming Slave and not attaining its proper high place
We must do the following
  • Boycott the products and services of all those companies who support vulgarity
  • Boycott the products of those companies who promote vulgarity and pornography
  • Boycott the products of those companies who abuse woman by making them entertaining dolls for chauvinist men
  • Do not watch vulgar TV programs, do not read vulgar newspapers
  • Spread the teachings  of Quran through teaching Quranic Arabic
  • Teaching Quran to others
  • Teaching proper way of establishing a conscious and meaningful Salah
  • Shunning all interest based transactions
  • Stop wasting our time, energy and resources
  • Invite all non practicing, misguided Muslims and all Non Muslims to true and real Islam
  • Use Pen and other resources including time and brain to achieve all of the above.
With Most Cordial Regards,

Your brother in Islam;

In a recent TV talk show the Ulemas and female students of a madarssah, where over 3000 girls are admitted for Islamic studies said that because of corruption and inefficiency of police and the government, they have to take up law in their own hands and People approach them with their complaints for spread of immoral activities
and closing down video shops and brothels. They claimed that they act according to Quran and Sharia'h and would keep on fighting to eradicate evil as and when advised by an Aalim well versed with Quran and Shariah. It was not clear what kind of shariah or fiqah they want to enforce in Pakistan.

In another talk show two eminent scholars of Islamic Research Dr. Abdul Jabbar Shakir and Dr. Jawad Hamdani opined that only the authorities and agencies appointed by the Government can take up the matters of policing, trial and punishments and there is no concept of vigilantism in Islam. The hadith relating to eradication of evil by tongue and hands are meant for personal and family matters and does not give right to any Mullah or any Zaid and Bakar to take up the role of Qazi/Caliph or police or judiciary.

The Federal Minister of Interior stated in a TV interview that the government is trying to convince the management of the madarssah and the Lal masjid not to challenge the writ of the Government. He said that the cases against the
madarssah and administration of mosque have been registered and the court would settle the dispute and hoped the need for employing force would be avoided.

Some enlightened ulemas have opined that such wrong challenges to the writ of the Government or judiciary in the name of Islam should be dealt with forcefully as used to be the case in the reign of Hazart Umer Farooq (RA).
