ISLAMABAD: Curfew has been clamped Wednesday in G-6 area of the federal capital in connection with operation against Lal Masjid management.

The State Home Minister Zafar Iqbal Waaraich and Information Minister Mohammed Ali Durrani said this in a joint press conference.

Waarraich said any violation of curfew would be dealt with force, adding that those who surrender would be dealt with softly and those who defy would be retaliated with bullets.

"˜This decision has been taken up after patience overflowed,' he said adding that police and army would be on standby and they would be summoned if needed.

State Information Minister Tariq Azeem was also present on the occasion.

Doctors and ambulances have been called on the spot around Lal Masjid
