Public Slogan or Public Dependency
A - Haq London
It has come to my knowledge that those who
had never gone to the mosques went to say prayers of thanks on the departure of
Peoples’ Party’s regime. In their regime more than beating anyone they dragged
the public in the worst manner. So much so that the public lifted up their
hands and the Peoples’ Party said good bye to the government as well as the
public and vanished from the scene.
The point to think is that is there no one in
the country to ask about the corruption of the PPP? Was the country handed over
to them on contract to do whatever they liked to do, and then escape? How could
the persons, who had come in Parliament on Taxies, became owners of numerous
vehicles and bungalows? Double nationality parliamentarians settled abroad
after corruption, and nobody is there to ask about the scams? Where went the
people who made unlawful use of their key posts? No person punished anyone put
behind bars. There went all the issues of PPP government, where went Zulfiqar
Ali Bhutto and the Benazir Bhutto, because Bhutto is Alive. The public as
it was always is the only victim to be victimized as always.
Before General Elections the pro-Nawaz people
made a lot of hue and cry with the slogan, ‘Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’ but
soon the hotness of the air vanished in the wake of exposed jealousy of the
other parties.
It is also noteworthy, that why do the people
attach such hopes that all the wrongs can / will be cured immediately or within
a few months? It is however, praiseworthy that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif didn’t
take steps in hurry despite much pressure. His decision to strengthen relations
with neighbouring countries is praiseworthy. I personally feel greatly
impressed by his decisions regarding bilateral Indo-Pak and Pak-China
relations. After his visit to China, it has been felt that Nawaz Sharif
has taken over the reins of government with a sense of commitment and passion
to serve the nation. It is a bitter reality that Pakistan is facing unlimited
crises and it is beyond the capacity of one person or one party to struggle
united to overcome these problems, particularly when PPP hasn’t left anything
in the public exchequer. To leave the country and the government in lurch at
this juncture is the work of a traitor. The other parties must also support the
government and contribute to the cause of welfare and wellbeing of the country.
The political parties must think and decide above party level----- for the
peace and stability of Pakistan.
