The Molestation of a Flower
The news of the rape of a 5- year- old girl in Lahore has shattered the nerves of the whole nation. When I saw this dewy rose tangled in the ferocious clutches of poignant thorns, the crimson tears tricked out of my eyes. I was stunned to see an innocent victim sitting on the small boundary wall of Services Hospital, Lahore. A young guy was carrying her in his arms and left her there. The eye of the hospital camera preserved the scene. Was he a rapist or a helper? It is still a riddle. After seeing different camera footage, some speculations rise in ones' mind. The young boy who is first seen in the footage carrying the girl in his arms, very quietly and cautiously leaves her on the wall. The girl looks quite complacent and in senses. No crying, no unconsciousness. She comfortably sits on the boundary wall. The camera covers her for some time. Why then she is not covered when some one picks her up from the boundary wall? Was the camera off when she was kidnapped from the boundary wall of the hospital? It seems as she was kidnapped by the person for ransom purpose or with the rape intent, but the kidnapper for unknown reasons left her and went his way. He is also involved in this nefarious act. Then she might have been kidnapped by some other persons and raped. The staff member who brought her to the hospital and the staff handling the hospital video camera should be interrogated as well. Some lady worker of the hospital kept on searching the parents of the girl as well. The clouds of suspicion hover around. It is highly recommended that the rapists must be publicly hanged with out delay. Justice delayed is justice denied. Through speedy court all such rogues must be taken to book. The fury and furor found in public is unimaginable. Two other such heinous rape cases have occurred with in two days as well. The law forcing agencies have failed in protecting the people. The special speedy courts be formed to punish the rapists. It is recommended that a bill be moved in the National Assembly to give death sentence to the rapists by the special speedy courts and no appeal in any other higher court be accepted. The decision of the special court should be final to execute the law rapidly and effectively.
