Sympathy votes as winning tool.

History tells us that PPP stalwarts used Bhutto's sacrifices as sympathy-filled emotional tool to win elections. After coming to power their relentless corruption became a powerful reason to loose that very tool and thus the upcoming elections. This is because of the total disconnection of PPP leadership with the public needs, feelings and emotions. As opposed to this disconnect, ZAB always kept himself connected with the public pulse and expressed it meticulously with rationality filled with emotions in a precise combination. The present leadership of PPP should learn a lesson or two from its founding leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The psychology of sympathy votes wont last forever especially when the major players of Bhutto family have already lost their lives.
