Pakistan pulls troops from Indian border to fight militants NEW DELHI, Nov 7 (AFP): Pakistan has pulled tens of thousands of troops from its border with India in a bid to quell rising violence by pro-Taliban militants in the northwest, officials said here Wednesday. A top Indian defence ministry official said Pakistan's military strength along the frontier had hit an "all-time low" during the summer as soldiers were poured into North West Frontier Province. "Our estimates are based on tested intelligence inputs from within Pakistan and feedbacks from our watch on their frontier assets," added an official from India's director-general of military intelligence.
