Unscrupulous TV Ads
In an anti bacterial soap ad a doctor looking character is shown measuring germs on a children play ride with his hand held “germ meter” and pronouncing the ride full of germs dangerous to the health of the innocents. Is there a meter that can detect the presence of the germs on an object and read their numbers too on it?
Similarly a mosquito repellent lotion ad informs us that the smoke from the Anti Mosquito Coil is more harmful than that of the smoke of 100 cigarettes !! Is it true? If yes, then how in the first instance the ad of such a harmful mosquito coils was allowed to be advertised through the media? And, if there is no meter that can detect and measure the number of the germs, why is the public being befooled by it? Isn’t there any law against such falsehood and mendacity to save the naïve public from being made fool of by the media and the industry?
