LAHORE ( 2008-08-04 20:20:04 ) :Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief, Nawaz Sharif, while terming his proposed meeting with PPP co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari crucial, has said that the PPP-PML-N Coalition should remain intact.
Addressing a crowded press conference after a joint meeting of his party's central executive committee and parliamentary party on Monday, he said he will hold final talks with Zardari on Tuesday on the issues including deposed judges' reinstatement, impeachment of President Musharraf and relief provision to masses.
"I will convey all my party's reservations to PPP co-chairman in Tuesday's meeting and my party has given me the authority to negotiate and decide these matters with him," Nawaz said.
He said he will try to convince Asif Ali Zardari with his party's stance on all stated issues in Tuesday's meeting, adding Zardari's response will figure out the future face of the ruling Coalition.
He said that he had written a letter to PPP co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari on July 16 in which he conveyed all his reservations on Coalition government affairs, with focus on above stated issues but received no reply.
He said his party was not taken on board by the government on fuel-price, increase in electricity tariff, Governor Punjab's appointment and several other issues so it should not be blamed for these affairs.
He said the democratic powers could bring the dictatorial rule in the country at its end and could restore the rule of law, Constitution and masses.
"First time in the history two rival parties had joined each other in the greater interest of the country and nation but instead of my several meetings with PPP leaders, these matters remained unsolved and no consensus was sought which pose threats to the coalition fate," he maintained.
He said he and his party are willing to continue the Coalition but not at the price of independent judiciary, civil rule and nation's verdict of February 18.
On a query whether his party will support the reinstatement of judges without deposed Chief Justice, Nawaz said: "We want to restore the sanctity of the institutions and not interested in the persons, but we will oppose any 'minus one or two formula' as it will further complicates the matter we want the reinstatement of all the deposed judges," he maintained.
