Are we re-defining shame?

Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani without any reference to contempt of court is definitely chief executive of the country and from that point of view he only commands but demands as well due respect from each and everyone but time and again he is at least undermined if not ridiculed to be honest.

Today Monday 13th February PM had to appear before 7 members’ large bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan in connection with contempt of court issued to him by SC. Yesterday it was reported on all Pakistan television channels flashing the news that SC has not allowed PM to drive his car right up to the porch of SC and instead he was directed to park his car in the parking lot and walk to the building which did dent his authority if he realizes. Qamar Zaman Kaira on behalf of PM requested SC to allow PM to drive up to the porch as it was done earlier when PM had appeared before SC and after some time television channels flashed the news that Gilani has been allowed to drive his car up to the porch. Did PM earn any laurel when SC ordered that he will have to park his car in the parking lot of SC?

Now when a few hours before, SC has already slapped contempt of court on PM Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani as an honorable person should have either apologized before SC or had left the office of PM but he did not do any of the two and instead vowed to contest it. Why PM is not writing a letter to Switzerland to bring back looted money of the nation? Is it a virtue to plunder our national exchequer?  How much he will be honored when eventually SC will imprison him in the coming days? Why not only President Asif Ali Zardari but he himself also is meeting with PPP leaders and allies to figure out as to who could be the next PM? A true gentleman will at least hide himself if he is issued any contempt of court notice but Gilani on the contra has stood up against the contempt instead.

Does immunity mean that Asif Ali Zardari can loot money and not be accountable?
