What, how and why? Millions killed, incapacitated, injured and rendered homeless in Syria for nearly 2 years and instead of any punishment to be inflicted on Bashar Al Assad he has been given green signal to keep on killing or more correctly slaughtering as many people as he pleases and none on the face of earth will neither deter nor question him.

USA President Barrak Obama had earlier announced that its forces will attack Syria since lethal gas has been used killing hundreds of people just few weeks back and there had been too much hue and cry over such attack which is most condemnable action in any case and hence US announced loudly to resort to punitive action. Most of the countries sided with Obama and severely condemned the gas attack on innocent civilians for none of their fault and the pictures of gas victims including children, women and men were really very much horrifying and terrifying. At some sites it was written that people with weak heart or heart ailment should not see such photographs of dead or dying people because some of the scenes were really heart breaking. Many people simply could not help sobbing seeing such like horrendous photos. At one point few tears rolled down my eyes seeing nothing but too cruel scenes where innumerous dead were collected and wrapped in white coffins.

Russia which is also a super power at least in theory if not practice had been siding Syria and therefore Bashar had never ever felt uneasy when world leaders condemned him for killing his own people. All those who opposed his tyrannical rule have been subjected to sever punishment and thousands of them have been killed as air force bombers have been shelling for months and months all over the country whereas tanks also rolled over wherever and whenever needed. None dared to question Bashar as to why is he against his own population though he being the president of the country should protect his people and not kill them? How many months have already passed and none is moved to stop him to kill people and rather Russia in particular and China and others in general sided Bashar which gave him still the more courage to do whatever he wants to continue as head of the state. People who demanded his resignation had to pay back through their noses and hardly anyone knows how many have been killed so far.

When Obama announced publicly that he is going to attack Syria, some people have appreciated his action in a sense that at least Bashar is being punished to use gas against his own people but now it has fizzled out. All those who have been killed due to gas attack cannot come back to life for sure but nevertheless there was some sense of relief because the guilty was being punished which Russia has eventually spoiled it in totality. Russian suggestion that Syria should have over chemical weapons has been accepted by Bashar which as such has not only over shadowed the punitive action which USA has planned and announced but also gave somewhat cover for him to twist more and more Syrians so that none even thinks of opposing the rulers.

USA if shelves its punitive program to and forgives Bashar then it will be nothing but giving green signal to Bashar to be on the throne till his death or till he hands over power to his son whatever he chooses and the very question of change in regime in Syria dies its own death. All those who have grouped up against Bashar in the given circumstances are just to eat dust and nothing more. Their plans to over throw the tyrant are shattered to pieces  and come what may Bashar will continue to be occupying the throne and eventually it will be established that from now onward none should even think against the rulers since Bashar even after killing thousands is very much holding the grip over the power so why to revolt against the ruler unless someone wants to punish nine but himself.

Who, if not USA, can hold Bashar accountable for what miseries he has brought to his population? Isn't US the most powerful force on the face of earth and if the answer is yes then why did US relax or spare Bashar for using gas as a war weapon? Can’t any forum including UN ask Bashar as to why and how so many have been killed by him over so many months for no reason and rhyme? Under what authority and justification Bashar is still continuing as president when since many long months his own population does not want him to continue as  head of the state and instead quit the power? What message  has been given by Bashar other than that he is fully authorized to continue slaughtering his people? Didn’t world approve whatever Bashar has done so far to be in the power? Why is Bashar not being punished for having used gas against his people?

Today, Monday 17^th September Arab Times of Kuwait sub-headed on its front page as, ‘Damascuss said to step up offensive’ whereas it said that Bashar’s jets and artillery has hit again suburbs of the capital on Sunday and the offensive initiated a week back is continuing. I do not wish but yet have strong feelings that now Bashar will turn to more cruel and worst than before. Who opposes me?
