Shopian Murders: India’s birth Right to kill Kashmiris?

 { Kashmir is undergoing a rebellious phase in freedom struggle for months now on account of rape cum murder of two women allegedly by Indian occupying terror forces.]

                                              ONE

Disappearance of Muslims and appearance of Muslim dead bodies in heavily militarised Kashmir is not unknown in Jammu Kashmir, under brute control of Hindu India. On 30 May, the bodies of the two women Asiya and Nelofer were discovered in a canal in Shopian town in Kashmir ruled by Congress-NC team. The issue shook the entire Kashmir valley, now a brute Indian military depot. The government initially maintained that they had died in an accident and that they had not been raped or killed as suspected by the public. The incident seriously challenged the credibility of NC Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who ordered a judicial enquiry into the case following days of violent protests in the Kashmir Valley. Later, the police confirmed both women had been raped and murdered. In order to mute the public anger over the murders of women by occupying Indian terrorists, four police officers, including the then district police Chief Javed Iqbal Matoo, were arrested in July on the orders of the high court after it emerged that they had destroyed evidence related to the case. Later these left the jail on bail. The free do leaders are arrested almost every week and kept for a week and mostly bail is disallowed for them.

Meanwhile, in order to kill the resistance to Indian state terrorism in Kashmir and murder of innocent women in Shopian, Indian strategists had dug up the old Srinagar prostitution case and every pro-India leader played their own destructive roles to close the Shopian case once for all, but failed...  Now evidences are destroyed and culprits are released. As expected by New Delhi, even all news media, including newspapers, highlighted the old case and Shopian murders were sidelined. This is quite natural since there are hardly any ore newspaper in Kashmir that provide exclusive support for freedom move, but all seek favours from New Delhi for their anti-Kashmiri services.

Now last week a member of a prominent committee Majlis Mashawarat Shopian, the local level organization fighting for justice in twin rape and murder of Asiya and Nelofer.  Mohammad Hussain Zargar, 42, investigating the rapes and deaths of two women in Indian-administered Kashmir has been found dead. The discovery has triggered a general strike in the town of Shopian.  Police as usual say Zargar went missing after leaving home on Saturday morning. His body was found on Tuesday evening.  Zargar was an active member of the Majlis-e-Mushawarat (consultative committee) which is spearheading the protest over the deaths.  Zargar had reportedly promised to sell his property to fight for justice for the two women. Consequently, his body was found barely a few hours after Chief Minister Abdullah told a public rally near Shopian town that he would not rest until those involved in the rapes and murders were brought to justice. Local residents allege that his death is the handiwork of those involved in the rapes and murders of the two women and his murder is a tactic to prevent the Majlis-e-Mushawarat from investigating the case by those responsible for committing the crime.

Protests had resurfaced in Shopian district against the bail to the involved cops. Shopian observed a 47-day shutdown over the rapes and murders in response to strike call against Special Investigation Team of police for its “failure” to produce evidences against cops who were given bail by the High Court, while traffic was off the roads. Entire Shopian district observed a complete strike after the Friday prayers and staged rallies against the murder of Zargar. Thousands of people took out a rally from Jamia Masjid to Bongam after Friday prayers.  All shops, offices, banks, petrol pumps, schools and colleges remained closed in the district while traffic remained off the roads. The business establishments including shops remained closed. Thousands of People, including children, also staged protest rallies in the district, with people chanting slogans against police, state government and separatist organizations. Sopore town in Baramulla district also observed strike against the bail to cops. The strike was only called off after an appeal by the state's chief justice, Barin Ghosh, who is heading a high court investigation into the crime.

                                                          TWO

Kashmiri Muslims have been struggling for regaining their lost sovereignty from arrogant nuclearised India. Over decades since 1947, about 100.000 innocent Kashmiris have been slaughtered by the occupying Indian terror forces and much more have been displaced and disappeared but UN and UNSC have found no time to arrest terror attacks as well as Indian leaders, both civilian and uniformed. Highly influenced by fascism trends, terror India also does what it pleases with Kashmiri Muslims, children, women and old.  Shopian - the area where the rapes and murders took place - has seen days of protests and strikes over the case.

Indian criminal occupiers are now seen destroying evidences of twin murders as well, though, as a matter of fact, the existence of proofs against illegal Indian occupiers or their murders and rapes should not worry too much India, which is freely killing the innocent Kashmiri Muslims in a sustained manner. However, with the evidence destroyed Indians can continue to claim to be innocent guys.  May be, the Kashmir Bandh to protest against the state government and police following the grant of bail to the arrested cops by the High Court is successful, though the call evoked response in Shopian district and Sopore town in north Kashmir alone. 

This is quite natural since there are hardly any ore newspaper in Kashmir that provide exclusive support for freedom move, but all seek favours from New Delhi for their anti-Kashmiri services. The Majlis-e-Mashawarat, the local level agitation spearhead said they felt let down by the people in rest of the Valley in their fight for justice in twin rape and murder of Asiya and Nelofer. Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani had called for confining the strike to Shopian only. 

Recently both UN and USA condemned the rights evasions in India with regard to Muslims and Kashmir has become a shameful hole in Hindu psyche abroad. Indian lobbyists, like their Zionist ones, run between posts and pillars to keep the new Obama administration in good humours. Obviously, both India and Jammu Kashmir government are trying to shield the culprits in the twin murders in Shopian.

                                            THREE

When former Pakistan president Musharraf bluntly revealed the crude fact that oppression of Muslims in India, including occupied Jammu Kashmir, is the root cause of terrorism and demolition of grand Babri Mosque paved the way for the state terrorism in India, many eye brows were raised in Indian intelligence wings operating through media. Hindus have so far failed to see how badly militarised Jammu Kashmir is.

Kashmir, the main region in Indian-administered Kashmir, was one of the most heavily militarized places people have ever seen. Kashmir is now converted into the prominent military cantonment of continuing military and equipment upgradation to scuttle any moves by the Kashmiris to regain freedom form terror India. People are being beaten up and terrorized every where by the terror Indian forces. Down in the old town, the Jama Masjid, Srinagar's finest mosque, is one of the symbols of Kashmiri identity too is totally deserted. The magnificent wooden and brass doors which open into the courtyard of the mosque are padlocked shut - there have been no Friday prayers here for six weeks. In the surrounding streets the Indian security forces have enforced a total shut down.

India got the terror military and other similar para-organisations to conduct legitimacy polls in occupied JK. In the run-up to polling day, many foreign commentators wrote Srinagar felt like an armed camp. Like all colonial powers, India also held polls in occupied Jammu Kashmir by terrorising the people there with about a million terror troops stationed in all streets of the state. There are undeclared curfews and a blanket of security across the city.

Half a million army and police personnel keep watch over Kashmir, and Srinagar has more than its fair share. Every 50 metres or so, on every main street, stand several men (or very occasionally women) armed with assault rifles and - more often than not - big sticks. These, it seems, are the only conditions under which elections are possible. Omar Abdullah, son of a famous Kashmiri family, was surrounded by more armed men than civilians to listen to poll speeches said: "The gun has changed nothing for us politically, but it has destroyed us economically, and it has had a huge impact on us socially." A Kashmir answered: "Do you think Kashmir will ever be independent?" I ask. "I hope so," he replies. "I say that as a Kashmiri, I hope so."

                                         FOUR

Muslims in India are subjected to all sorts of illegal and immoral backlashes without doing any harm to Hindu interests either in India or abroad where Hindus are being promoted by India agencies, both state and non-state, to flourish economically and politically to catch power in some way at least in every country where they are in sizable numbers. The fact that Indians are  least bothered about how negatively the fanatic Hindus are viewed for their intolerance, fraudulence, arrogance and terror instincts is unfortunate, wheat they want is more profits and expand their transnational finances through nefarious means only. They also finance the Indian terrorism of all kinds. But their reluctance to admit the genocides of Kashmiri Muslims by the paid Indian state terrorists is annoying.

While the pro-Indian Kashmiri rulers in JK take notes from New Delhi and act according to the instructions from the governor’s building in Sri Nagar, the freedom leaders seem to be fighting for a lost case because of their own callousness and self-centred actualities to be leaders of their respective streets. The leaders unwittingly declared that the strike call is not against the honorable High Court but against the police and government which booked the cops under weak acts. The strike call is against bungling of police and state government.

Since the recent holocaust of fascist Israel in Gaza Strip and the state action against the occupying Indians in Sri Lanka, India strategists are terribly engaged in similar terrorism plans in Jammu Kashmir as well in order both to shut the sovereignty seekers in JK and to boost its terror military power abroad. India has already experimented one state terrorist attempt against the Naxalites and could attempt similar misadventures in JK as well.

Further, on his return to India, Indian Home minster who was called to Washington by the CIA for terror consultations and briefs has, as speculated, said that the terrorist groups including LeT and JeM persist in their endeavour to launch terror attacks. He lamented that India can no longer afford to business as usual and hinted at a new game changer. Knowing the terror tactics of India for decades now, this declaration signals a perfect danger for Muslims in India and Kashmir.

Apart from shameless terror polls, India uses Lashkar-e-Taiba to advance its terror agenda in JK. It gives leverage to those who want to link Kashmir with international terrorism and extremism. Large police trucks block the front gates of all freedom leaders, for instance, at the house of Mirwaiz Omar Farooq, one of the main leaders of the peaceful campaign for Kashmiri independence. He's under house arrest, and we're not allowed in. Srinagar, he says, is like a jail.

In view of the Indian shifts in it policies towards Jammu Kashmir, the nature of the freedom campaign has also been changing, moving away from armed insurgency towards other forms of protest like street campaigns. And compared with earlier years this election has been relatively peaceful. Is there actually a threat which might justify all this extraordinary security? This is the art of state terrorism in Kashmir.

                                                 FIVE

The trouble is that Kashmir remains central to the disputes between India and Pakistan. And the long term questions about its political future look set to drag on and on. Elections are about bread and butter issues - the cost of food, jobs, daily life. Tensions between India and Pakistan don't really figure. The fact is that Kashmir is a political problem, and we have to find a political solution to it." But for separatists like Mirwaiz Omar Farooq that doesn't include fighting elections under the Indian constitution. The main problem with the freedom leaders is their hyped ego problem and superiority complex which makes each of them to feel like the only leader capable of leading the Kashmiris for freedom. This super complex is enough to destroy all of them by terror India as “terrorists”.  

If most of the Kashmiris support the Indian illegal case on Kashmir, India’s birth rights to murder Kashmiris at will cannot be challenged by any body any where. That is colonial Indian legal position. I am not surprised if pro-India Kashmiri nuts say Hindu India has every right to kill Kashmiri Muslims in Jammu Kashmir. Many Kashmiris think they are terrorists themselves even though their kith and kin are being murdered by Indian terror forces occupying their lands and controlling them. Western state terrorists are killing Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, while fascist Israel is conducting intermittent holocausts in Palestine. Hindu Indian forces are taking sadistic pleasure in killing Kashmiri Muslims, while media in JK trumpeting Indian greatness pretend they are blind. Pro-India elements ruing JK now try all tricks to make the freedom struggle fail so that they are not called terrorists by Indian leaders and media and they are not insulted while in New Delhi. In Kashmir every one has learnt the art of playing roles as required by the circumstances and dictated by the anti-Kashmir media.  

Although Indian terror Hindu forces occupying Jammu Kashmir are known to murdering the defenseless Kashmiris, even today, freedom groups do think it necessary to find a common language and hence a deadly split among the freedom groups is vividly demonstrated by intermittent strikes in JK.  Then, why not the paid Indian state terrorists kill the Kashmiri Muslims?
