When Musharraf was forced into Leadership of Pakistan he accepted the challenge. Inside the national & global boxing-rings many rounds have been played since he Red-gloved himself.
Musharraf has lost some rounds but has won many, many rounds.
The fight will continue until, like Shakespeare says, one cries: "Hold.!.!.!. Enough.!."
I remember Musharraf's 1st.Round internati onal) in which he delivered the punches of what is 'jehaaD' & what is 'terrorism'.
He marginally won that round.
I am convinced in my mind that when the "enlightened" masses rise and request him to leave the arena ... HE WILL RETIRE.
I.K.Shukla, I agree with you when you say that Musharraf is in habit of spewing the truth, even if it is unwittingly.

President Musharraf is in the habit of spewing the truth, even if
unwittingly. He would not stint, nor be in any way outdone, by his
predecessors in making Pakistan a banana republic. He is mightily
contributing his mite towards that end.
He talks of a "vision" that entails US leadership of the West and Muslim
world. But is Pervez suffering from amnesia and blindness? US has been in
the lead for long. With consequences that only a Musharraf can uphold as
desirable.
