Ch. Nisar’s and General Musharraf’s nomination papers were reportedly rejected by some ROs at Rawalpindi and Karachi but were strangely found acceptable by the other ROs at other places allowing them to contest from those constituencies in the coming general elections. The ECP has done well to introduce the ‘None of the Above” box in the ballot papers and has asked for a Presidential ordinance to be issued in this respect to incorporate the change in the electoral rules.
