UK LAWYERS REJECT DAVID CAMERON’S UNTIMELY BID
Association of Pakistani lawyers (UK) has rejected British Prime Minister’s bid to seek enhanced trade relations with India at the cost of relations with Pakistan.
In a response to David Cameron’s speech in India, APL chair Barrister Amjad Malik has warned that any unilateral bashing of Pakistan which is contributing heavily in ongoing War on Terror will be counter productive. Terrorism must be condemned in any shape and form and must not be selective linking it with any country, religion and or community. Whilst condemning terrorism, UK must unequivocally condemn Raw's interference and role in Baluchistan and Pakistani bordering areas with Afghanistan. Britain must condemn in same tone the terrorism of RSS and VHP which is persecuting Muslims in India and India’s worst human rights abuses including mass graves in Kashmir.
APL chair warned that any unilateral ‘do more’ repetition demands will alienate British Muslims in particular one million Kashmir resident voters of Britain who are disillusioned with the policy of leading political parties on Kashmir, as their vows at elections are different to that of in Govt claims & actions.
APL chair demanded that in order to show parity whilst dealing with the possible threats to and from overseas, Britain must ban RSS and VHP too as well as others as there has been evidence that these too collected and raised funds in Britain for the purpose of terrorism to erect ‘Ram mandar’ by demolishing Babari Masque in Ajodhya and APL called for the proscription of RSS from the British Govt which awaits a decision from the Home Secretary.
Britain has every right to seek trade links, sell arms, goods and supply services to India but that must not be done at the cost of its relations with Pakistan who has lost heavily militarily and economically to save British lives as without their physical support , contribution and sacrifices war of terror will turn out to be a ‘war of horror.’
