Amjad Malik raised Overseas Pakistani issue with CM Punjab
 
Lahore, November 20, 2010, Barrister Amjad Malik, President, Association of Pakistani Lawyers (APL) UK called on The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif and briefed him about his meetings with the British High Commissioner Adam Thomson at Islamabad High Commission & Federal Interior Minister Dr Rehman Malik on the issue of ‘MOU’ signed by both Govts and its repercussions. Both discussed problems of overseas Pakistanis, and exchanged views on perception created by recently renewed Memorandum of Understanding, visa service and increasing radicalisation. Amjad Malik presented three papers on the subject to CM Punjab offering solutions.

Amjad Malik presented The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif a shield on behalf of APL in recognition of his tireless efforts for flood victims during the recent disaster in Pakistan which was even acknowledged by The English Press.  

He appraised the Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif of the work of APL which is working closely to bridge the gap between lawyers of both fraternity Pakistan and UK.  


Barrister Amjad Malik, President, Association of Pakistani Lawyers (APL) UK brought into the notice of The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz a request of parents of a missing British Pakistani (U) who having entered Pakistan in 2007 has been missing since 5.01.2007. Chief Minister Punjab said that he cherished overseas Pakistanis and values their contribution and will look into the matter of missing citizen at his earliest convenience.

Barrister Amjad Malik, presented The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif his famous book “Road to Justice” to CM Punjab and paid condolences over the death of CM’s uncle Mian Miraj Din. Mufti Muneeb Ur Rehman offered the prayer.
