The Unity agreement by Palestinian factions after 4 years of quarrel, mediated by Egypt, is the reflection of the aspirations of Palestinians for unity. Fatah and Hamas had been close to a deal last year but Hamas withdrew, saying the terms had been revised without its agreement.
